SuperBot is growing! As our team expands, so do our offices. Bringing on enough Bots to let us ship games the way we want them, and the way you want them, means we need more space to hold everyone. We’ve expanded to a second office here in sunny Culver City! Our new space carries over the sleek, industrial décor of our existing studio, creating a mini-campus which reflects our dedication to creating an environment in which everyone is encouraged and inspired to do the best work they can.

UI Artist

We are currently searching for a UI Artist/Designer with the following skills and experience:

Description of responsibilities
  • Will work with all Production teams to concept, prototype and produce the UI for our game
  • Work with the Design Team to determine the functionality and features of the User Interface
  • Work with the Visual Development Director to concept the User Interface, to ensure a consistent art style is maintained across the game
  • Work with the Programming Team to ensure the implementation matching the intention
Experience Required
  • Prior User Interface design experience, be prepared to show examples
  • Strong Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator skills
  • Strong typography skills
  • Ability to work with several development teams, while maintaining consistency of design
  • Strong problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Good communication skills both verbal and writtens
Experience Preferred
  • shipped at least one game on a current-gen console as a UI Artist or have at least 5 years’ experience in the video game or relevant entertainment industry

Senior Technical Artist

We are currently searching for a SENIOR TECHNICAL ARTIST with the following skills and experience:

Description of responsibilities
  • Working with the Art Director and programmers to develop, test, and document new features needed to deliver the art quality required for our title.
  • Supporting each member of the team, making sure their tools are functioning correctly.
  • Profiling new and existing assets to ensure optimum performance.
  • Debugging assets which are broken or not functioning correctly.
  • Developing new tools to address team’s needs.
  • Assisting in implementation of complex game functionality.
  • Documenting new and existing tools.
  • Training team on how to use in-house tools.
  • Researching new, more efficient pipelines and bringing those features to our tools and workflow.
Experience Required
  • MEL & Python Scripting.
  • Proficiency with most aspects of Maya.
  • Experience writing large constantly evolving tools.
  • Must have shipped one PS3 or XBox 360 title.
Experience Preferred
  • C# & UI development
  • B.S. in CS
  • ZBrush experience
  • Knowledge in writing Cg/HLSL Shaders

We are currently searching for a RENDERING PROGRAMMER with the following skills and experience:

We are currently searching for a GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER with the following skills and experience:

Description of responsibilities
  • Designing, writing, debugging and refining gameplay systems and features, tools and infrastructure
  • Working with content creators, designers, and other engineers to ensure coherence of game vision
  • Implementing new and enhancing existing gameplay systems and features according to the needs of the Project
  • Implementing specific gameplay moments depending on needs of the project
  • A demonstrated proficiency in and knowledge of C/C++, data structures, performance, and multi-threaded programming techniques
Experience Required
  • Knowledge of common data structures and algorithmic solutions
  • A thorough knowledge of software design practices including modular architecture, event-driven architecture, and software design patterns
  • The ability to quickly understand and work with internal and externally developed code
Experience Preferred
  • Experience with computer game technologies including: Camera systems, AI programming, physics, 3D programming, animation, collision detection
  • A strong knowledge of 3D Math
  • A demonstrated ability to write clean, readable, portable, reliable, and optimized code on current-gen consoles

Senior FX Artist

We are currently searching for a SENIOR FX ARTIST with the following skills and experience:

Description of responsibilities
  • Creating, designing and implementing real-time particle  effects which use both static and animating 2D/3D elements.
  • Placing effects throughout levels and cinematics.
  • Creating ambient, environmental and weather effects.
  • Creating simulations for gameplay elements.
  • Prototyping effect concepts for gameplay and engine.
  • Conceptualizing, designing, and creating visual effects for the games.
  • Simulating physical and energetic phenomenon using dynamic animation and compositing techniques.
  • Using visual elements to help communicate gameplay mechanics, in collaboration with Design.
  • Taking VFX ownership on various environments, mechanics, and sequences.
  • Anticipating potential exploits or conflicts relating to game mechanics, while proposing/brainstorming appropriate solutions with systems designers.
  • Researching, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Creating clear, accurate, and accessible technical writing.
Experience Required
  • VFX artist with 1-3 years in the games industry.
  • VFX artist credit on at least one shipped next-gen AAA title.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, driven to create top quality visuals.
  • Demo video of recent VFX work displaying a range of subject matter and style.
Experience Preferred
  • UI, Lighting, Post-Production experience.
  • Maya scripting.
  • Background in Modeling, Traditional art.
  • Broad understanding of industry standard software.
  • Next-gen shader technical expertise.
